PersonOriginally Abram ("high father"), later renamed Abraham ("father of a multitude"). The founding patriarch of Israel and friend of God. Called by God from Ur of the Chaldees to Canaan, he received the Abrahamic covenant of land, seed, and global blessing through his descendant Jesus Christ.
Moses
PersonThe great lawgiver and deliverer of Israel. Born under Pharaoh’s infanticidal decree, preserved in an ark of bulrushes, called by God at the burning bush to lead the Exodus from Egypt, and mediator of the Old Covenant at Mount Sinai where he received the Ten Commandments.
David
PersonThe eighth son of Jesse of Bethlehem, anointed by Samuel as king over Israel, conqueror of Goliath, sweet psalmist of Israel, and man after God’s own heart. God made an everlasting covenant with David promising that his throne would endure forever through the Messiah.
Jesus Christ
PersonThe central figure of all human history and Christian revelation. The eternal Word who became flesh, born of the Virgin Mary in Bethlehem, lived a sinless life of miraculous teaching and compassion, was crucified for the sins of the world under Pontius Pilate, rose bodily from the grave on the third day, ascended into heaven, and will return in power as King of kings.
Paul the Apostle
PersonFormerly Saul of Tarsus, a zealous Pharisee and persecutor of the early church. Radically converted on the Damascus Road by the resurrected Christ, he became the premier apostle to the Gentiles, pioneering churches across Asia Minor and Europe, and authoring thirteen New Testament epistles.
Simon Peter
PersonA Galilean fisherman called by Jesus to be a fisher of men. Outspoken spokesman of the Twelve disciples, first to confess Jesus as the Christ, who famously denied Christ three times before being restored by Jesus on the shore of Galilee, subsequently becoming the bold preacher at Pentecost.
Mary the Mother of Jesus
PersonA humble virgin of Nazareth of the lineage of David, betrothed to Joseph. Visited by the angel Gabriel, she submitted in humble obedience to conceive the Messiah by the Holy Spirit, delivering the Magnificat (Luke 1:46-55), standing faithfully by the cross at Christ’s crucifixion.
Elijah the Tishbite
PersonA fiery prophet of Gilead who confronted King Ahab and Queen Jezebel during Israel’s deepest apostasy. He called down drought, raised the widow’s son at Zarephath, decisively defeated the 450 prophets of Baal at Mount Carmel, and was taken up into heaven by a chariot of fire without experiencing physical death.

Mount Sinai (Horeb)
LocationThe sacred mountain in the desert peninsula where God appeared in terrifying fire, smoke, and thunder to cut covenant with Israel and give Moses the Law and the blueprints of the Tabernacle.
Galilee (Sea of Galilee)
LocationThe northern province of Palestine and its freshwater inland lake (Lake of Gennesaret / Tiberias). The primary geographic theater of Jesus’ public ministry, where He called His first disciples, walked on water, stilled the storm, and delivered the Sermon on the Mount.

ArchetypeThe overarching biblical symbol of the spotless sacrificial victim, originating from the Passover lamb whose blood shielded Israel from the angel of death (Exodus 12), prophesied in Isaiah 53 as a lamb led to the slaughter, and fulfilled in Jesus Christ who takes away the sin of the world.
Living Water
ArchetypeFresh, flowing spring water contrasted with stagnant cisterns. In biblical typology, it represents the purifying and life-giving presence of the Holy Spirit poured out upon spiritually parched souls.
The True Vine
ArchetypeIn the Old Testament, Israel was planted as God’s choice vineyard but yielded wild grapes (Isaiah 5). In John 15, Jesus announces “I am the true Vine,” revealing that genuine spiritual fruitfulness depends entirely upon organic abiding in Him.
The Rock (Rock of Ages)
ArchetypeA metaphor for God’s immutability, protective defense, and unshakeable faithfulness. Also the rock struck by Moses at Horeb that poured out water in the wilderness, which Paul explains was Christ (1 Cor 10:4).
Covenant (Berit & Diatheke)
ArchetypeA binding, solemn relationship between God and humanity sealed in blood with oaths and promises. Expressed through the Noahic, Abrahamic, Mosaic, Davidic covenants, and culminated in the New Covenant in Christ’s blood.
Sovereign Grace (Charis)
ArchetypeThe completely unmerited favor, love, and goodwill of God toward helpless and guilty sinners. Grace forgives the guilty, clothes the naked in Christ’s righteousness, and empowers holy living through the indwelling Spirit.
Justification by Faith
ArchetypeThe legal act of God where He declares a guilty sinner righteous in His sight, not by any righteousness inherent in the sinner, but because the perfect righteousness of Jesus Christ is imputed (credited) to them through faith.
Biblical Shalom (Holistic Peace)
ArchetypeFar deeper than modern peace as absence of fighting. Shalom denotes universal flourishing, completeness, systemic justice, inner tranquility, and comprehensive reconciliation between Creator and creation.
